TUSCAR BALANCE

One of the principle features of the McGonigle Tuscar is our free-sprung balance with overcoil hairspring.
The balance is our unique design. Here are some of the processes to produce the balance wheel.

HANDS

Attention to the fine details help to distinguish a watch as special.
In this series of photographs we show how our hands are made.
It can take up to three days to make a pair of hands, which is a huge amount of time to lavish on hands. It involves a lot of work but the end results make the effort worthwhile.

BEVELLING

All components like bridges, levers, springs and screws in our watches have their edges bevelled and polished by hand. Fine hand finishing is what separates the best from the rest.
